On your shorter drives less than 15 minutes away you could have lunch at the hotel in Brunswick Heads, the home of the famous Fish’n’Chips Festival, or drive along the picturesque Tweed Coast exploring the small villages all the way to Kingscliff and dine at one of the many restaurants.
Great Stay at Escape BnB
I stayed one night with a friend at Escape BnB. My friend and I were doing a weekend road trip from Brisbane. We went exploring areas including Tweet Heads, Kingscliff, Hasting Point, Pottsville and Bryon Bay. I booked this accomodation due to the amount of positive reviews it received and its location. It exceeded my expectations! We stayed in the Sapphire Deluxe Double room. It was a double-bedded room with a private bathroom. The room was very clean and provided a range of useful facilities including air conditioning, a hairdryer, a tea/coffee maker and TV, which made our stay very comfortable. It felt like a newly renovated room! Parking was provided for free which was wonderful. We were the only guests staying so the owner gave us permission to park our car in their garage. I wanted to stay in a quiet suburban area that was relatively close to the beach and other destinations we were visiting but not overloaded with tourists or too noisy. Escape B&B was about 15-40 minutes drive away from the places we wanted to explore. I thought the location of the accommodation was perfect. As a bonus, we found a number of restaurants close by, which made dinner plans really easy. Breakfast was included with our reservation. It was absolutely delicious. It was prepared by the owners, who are a lovely old couple. We ate our food on the outside dining area on the balcony in the morning. There was a range of foods provided, including fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast with butter and jams, bacon, eggs, roasted tomatoes and asparagus. Did I mention it was delicious? We were also served tea, coffee and juice. Our stay at Escape B&B was great. It was a really satisfying experience. The owners are very attentive and kind. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Great people, great location, awesome breakfast
We would give this property 6 stars if we could. 10 out of 10. Annette and Bob were really friendly and helpful and we had the most delicious buffet breakfast (including a lovely eggs benedict with smoked salmon) and some really interesting conversation for a 2 hour breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to everyone. I will definitely return next time I am in the area with my Japanese guests and friends. Its a great location not far from Byron Bay. We also enjoyed a lovely pizza/pasta in Cabarita Beach (8km north) at Marty's Cab Italian Restaurant. Lots of quiet beaches nearby. Annette and Bob also have some great artwork throughout the property. Lovely people and a beautiful home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - wish it was longer. Momo (my Japanese university student) loved everything about our stay (Annette also showed her how to use the coffee plunger as she wanted to learn). Momo was so excited about the huge spa bath to relax after a few hours of studying. Annette and Bob have travelled the world and Australia so have some great experiences and tips.
